“ Chuka Fukuya is a hidden gem of a local Chinese restaurant located just off the Hongo-ji intersection in Asamacho, Nishi Ward, Yokohama. Its exterior, interior, and cozy interior, as well as the food, taste, and price, make it one of the best local Chinese restaurants in the area. I ordered the Gomoku Soba and Half Fried Rice. Although it's not on the menu, they were happy to accommodate my request for a set of Gomoku Soba and Half Fried Rice. The friendly staff were very welcoming. First up was the Gomoku Soba. This retro yet luxurious Gomoku Soba is unlike anything else in the neighborhood. It's packed with ingredients like thick roast pork, shrimp, kamaboko (fish cake), bamboo shoots, boiled eggs, and shiitake mushrooms (the latter of which are even more delicious than I expected). The salt-based soup really brings out the flavor of each ingredient. The noodles aren't anything special, but they're gentle and smooth to eat. The Half Fried Rice, while simple in appearance, is moist and fragrant, making it one of the best in Yokohama. The sight of thinly sliced ​​omelet on top of the fried rice is quite unique. I like this restaurant, but I do have one complaint. The opening hours and closing days are unclear, so sometimes I go to the restaurant only to come back empty-handed. However, considering that the couple who run the restaurant are quite elderly, this may be selfish. ”

“ I knew about it, but I didn't stop by after shopping at Matsubara Shopping Street. This was my first visit. The friendly proprietress showed me to a seat. When I ordered tanmen, I was told that I could choose thin or thick noodles. I prefer thick noodles for tanmen, so I ordered a large serving of thick noodles and was greedy and ordered gyoza as well. There seemed to be a lot of regular customers, and everyone seemed to be quietly enjoying their meal. After receiving the complimentary pickled radish, a large pair of gyoza with wings came. The ingredients were fine and sticky, but the vegetable flavor was strong and delicious! Shortly after, the tanmen arrived, and you could see a lot of vegetables in the bowl. Have I messed up? As I continued to eat, it was light! The vegetable flavor was strong, so I didn't get bored and I kept eating. The thick noodles were soft, but chewy and smooth.
